Prospective Students

The CECD program is open to any graduate of an accredited college. The 9-credit program integrates opportunities for personal and experiential learning.

Students in the program include:

• certified experienced classroom teachers and school administrators

• professionals working in community development, grassroots education, social work, counseling, community

• health, and other such areas in which the central concerns of the Certificate program are relevant

• individuals proactively engaged in service to their communities through the Life-Long Learning track of the program




Certificate coursework may also be applicable to qualifying degree programs at any institution of higher learning. The program is administered through Louhelen Bahá'í School; credits and transcripts are awarded through the College of Education at Fort Hays State University in Hays, Kansas, via their Virtual College.
