Overnight retreats and weekend conferences

Louhelen offers a relaxed and rural setting for a weekend retreat or conference.

• Open, comfortable common areas and warm, cozy private spaces offer varied settings for many types of gatherings.
• Comfortable lodging accommodates up to 120 guests. Private washrooms. Two-room suites share a shower and bath.
• Rooms are air-conditioned and open onto a covered walkway, looking out onto spacious meadows, woodlands and flower gardens.
• Overnight room rates include three meals, full hot breakfast, buffet lunch and dinner and use of all facilities, including gym, prayer refuge, nature walk, soccer fields and outdoor patio.
• Complimentary use of a meeting room with minimum number of participants.

Day use for trainings, company meetings, day retreats

Our largest gathering space, Unity Hall, can seat up to 200 guests for lectures, discussions, or entertainment.

• Standard meeting rooms seat up to 20 with seminar tables, or 40 theater style.
• A larger meeting room seats up to 45 with seminar tables or 95 theater style.
• The décor is multi-cultural and inviting, with many windows allowing for plenty of natural light.
• Audio visual equipment comes complimentary with room rental, along with all day coffee and tea service and linen tablecloths in meeting room.
• Day use fee includes use of all facilities, including gym, prayer refuge, nature walk, soccer fields and outdoor patio.
• Continental breakfast to welcome your participants may be served in the room for an additional fee, as well as an afternoon snack.

Banquets and open houses

Louhelen’s Twin Oaks Dining room is perfect for wedding receptions, company dinners, open houses and other celebrations.

• Lunches and dinners are served buffet style and always include a salad bar, beverages and linen tablecloths and napkins.
• Light snack options are also available.
• Audio visual equipment is complimentary.
• Speakers table with microphone is available for no extra charge.
• Louhelen offers an alcohol- and smoke-free environment.

Quesadillas Bar — Chicken and veggie quesadillas, Spanish rice, Nacho cheese chips

Herbed Roasted Pork Loin — Stuffing or rice or mashed potatoes, Vegetable

Bookstore Café

Guests often gather for conversation and a special coffee, ice cream, or fine dessert, amidst a wide range of books exploring contemporary social concerns, spiritual education, global thinking, race relations, spiritual growth, children’s literature, and other topics related to the teachings of the Bahá’í Faith.

Fireplace Lounge

The Fireplace Lounge provides the dramatic focus of the Center Building, with soaring fireplace, vaulted ceiling, skylight and conversation spaces. The adjacent Fireside Lounge is a favorite place for more private discussions.

60 Acres of Nature

Easy hiking trails and 60 acres of lovely natural areas make Louhelen stand out from urban meeting centers. Wake up to beautiful green woods and the serenity of being surrounded by nature.

The Refuge

A quiet building set aside for peaceful meditation. adjacent to a new rose garden. The Refuge is a place to get away and reflect. It is open 7:00 am to 11:00 pm for your enjoyment.

Ball Fields and Hardwood Floor Gym

Basketball, volleyball and other recreational activities take place at and near the Gym. Connected to the Gym is Unity House, offering table tennis, foosball, and board games. Guests can also enjoy volleyball and soccer in ball fields adjacent to the gym.
