Complete Meeting Facilities

Louhelen has new and expanded facilities and a relaxed, inviting setting for many types of functions. Open, comfortable common areas and warm, cozy private spaces offer varied settings for many types of gatherings. The decor is multi-cultural and inviting, with many windows allowing for plenty of natural light.

The recent addition of Unity Hall provides space for up to 220 guests for lectures, discussions, or entertainment.

Meeting Rooms:
Most meeting rooms seat 22–25 with seminar tables; 40 theater style.

A larger meeting room seats 35–45 with seminar tables; 95 theater style.

Inviting Accommodations

Comfortable lodging accommodates up to 120 guests. Private washrooms. Two-room suites share a shower and bath. All rooms are air-conditioned and open onto a covered corridor, looking out onto spacious meadows, woodlands, and flower gardens.

Twin Oaks Dining Room and Gourmet Cuisine

Airy and pleasant large dining room seats 175. Dine in casual elegance with Louhelen's award-winning food service. For special occasions, more elegant brunches and banquet settings are available.

Louhelen is known for its diverse, gourmet cuisine, served buffet-style. Choose from a wide selection of creations at every meal, including international cuisine wonderful desserts.

Friendly Staff

Friendly, professional staff assure that conferences and seminars run smoothly, meeting particular needs with courtesy and cheerfulness.

Bookstore Café

Check out our current featured items. Guests often gather for conversation and a special coffee, ice cream, or fine dessert, amidst a wide range of books exploring contemporary social concerns, spiritual education, global thinking, race relations, spiritual growth, children’s literature, and other topics related to the teachings of the Bahá’í Faith.

Fireplace Lounge

The Fireplace Lounge provides the dramatic focus of the Center Building, with soaring fireplace, vaulted ceiling, skylight and conversation spaces. The adjacent Fireside Lounge is a favorite place for more private discussions.

60 Acres of Nature

Easy hiking trails and 60 acres of lovely natural areas make Louhelen stand out from urban meeting centers. Wake up to beautiful green woods and the serenity of being surrounded by nature.

The Refuge

A quiet building set aside for peaceful meditation. Adjacent to a new rose garden dedicated to the memory of Bahiyyíh Khánum, daughter of Bahá’u’lláh and known as the Greatest Holy Leaf, the Refuge is a place to get away and reflect. It is open 7:00 am to 11:00 pm for your convenience.

Ball Fields and Hardwood Floor Gym

Basketball, volleyball and other recreational activities take place at and near the Gym. Connected to the Gym is Unity House, offering table tennis, foosball, and board games. Guests can also enjoy volleyball and soccer in ball fields adjacent to the gym.

Outdoor Patio

Warm seasons often find guests gathered on Louhelen’s spacious and attractive outdoor patio. A lovely sunken garden makes this area a favorite place to get together. Outdoor barbeques may be arranged.
